Abstract:
A simple synthesis (coprecipitation) of Ag-doped ZnO powders with various doping metal content (0, 0.02 and 0.05 wt.%) is presented. The obtained materials were characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) technique and specific surface. Characterization results will be discussed. The antibacterial activity of the obtained powders was tested. It was determined that silver plays a significant role in the inhibitory effect of these powders on microorganisms (Penicillium). Only a very low concentration of silver gave antibacterial performance.
