Abstract:
The electrochemical properties of 1H-3-methyl-4-ethoxycarbonyl-5-benzylidenehydrazino-pyrazole have been
investigated in two different aprotic nonaqueous solvents, at a platinum electrode. The voltammetric investigation of the
above compound in anhydrous acetonitrile (AN) and dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) respectively shows a somehow similar
behavior but significant differences are also noticeable. The different peak separation and peak height can offer
supplemental information in order to get a clearer view of the mechanism governing the anodic oxidation of the latter
compound and to find the proper parameters to synthesize pyrazolo-triazoles by electro-synthesis.
