Abstract:
The aim of this investigation is to examine the inhibitory effect of ETH toward the corrosion of carbon steel corrosion in 15% hydrochloric acid solution. Weight loss and potentiodynamic polarization techniques were used in this work to evaluate the inhibition efficiency of the tested inhibitor. Also, Tafel method for determining of the kinetic parameters, scanning electron microscopy, all of them providing complete information about the mode of action of the inhibitors; simultaneously, has been studied, the ETH inhibiting efficiency with increasing temperature.
