Abstract:
The biological and abiological reduction of dinitrogen supposes the existence of some MoFe3S4 type clusters linked by cisteinic S in the protein inside, [Fe3O4(H2O)12]2+ / 3+ respectively, in an iron hydroxide (model) or of some complex dinitrogen combination beside a powerful reducer. The dinitrogen reduction takes place in stages.
