Abstract:
The heterometallic complex [Cu(VO)2(C10H8N2)2(C2O4)2·2H2O]n has been obtained and characterized by electronic and IR
spectrum and molecular electrical conductivity. The electronic spectrum show the presence of VO (IV) species of C4ν symmetry and Cu
(II) in octahedral surrounding. The molar conductivity value in DMSO proves that the heteronuclear oxalate-compound is nonelectrolyte.
IR spectrum proves the presence of the coordinated 4,4’-dipyridyl and of the oxalate anion V4h.
